Jonathan Sainsbury has spent a lifetime observing nature, illustrating, drawing and creating pictures. Sainsbury's relationship with the living world allows him to find beauty and meaning.

 

He seeks to communicate his concern for the balance between nature and human beings, celebrating the plants, birds and animals that share this earth, bringing joy to human lives.

Jonathan has made a living depicting British wildlife, winning prizes, critical and
public acclaim, establishing himself as one of the leading wildlife artists of his generation in Britain and abroad. Increasingly, he expresses ideas about ecology and conservation. He works mostly in watercolour, sometimes with charcoal and in oil.
