Two lions and a unicorn
 
Three objects stand in a row on a dresser shelf.  A pair of antique Royal Stafford china figurines flank both sides of a tin of Lyle’s golden syrup.  The arrangement with its lace doily echoes back to a different, older time.  In the centre ground the brand design of a dead lion surrounded by honey bees carries the riddle ‘ Out of the strong came forth sweetness’.  We always carry within us older unconscious memories and emotions.
